how to not lose yourself in motherhood

Ever get caught up in the day-to-day operations of motherhood.

Wake up.

Coffee to function.

Make breakfast.

Clean up.

Clean up.

Clean up yet again.

Rinse and repeat.

Sometimes the days can feel like groundhog day.

Sometime you look around and can find yourself lost in the business of motherhood wondering who you were before and what’s next.

Motherhood is a blessing. That is without a doubt.

It is also the hardest job you will ever tackle.

It does not get days off.

It does not sleep in.

And operates 365 days of the year.

But you my friend, are not lost in the business of motherhood.

You have a passion within outside of motherhood that is just waiting to burst out.

Stop feeling guilty about being busy

First let’s clear up one thing.

Stop feeling guilt about being busy.

You are allowed to have passions and purpose outside of motherhood.

It does not make you a bad mom.

In fact, it makes you an even better one.

It gives your brain the mental fortitude to focus on something other than the rinse/repeat cycle of the day.

Something to be excited about, just for you.

It shows your children that they can be independent too.

It shows them the fullness of you.

It makes you more present when you are with them.

Stop letting others make you feel guilty about it.

Don’t let their criticisms and negativity infiltrate your passion and purpose.

Believe in you and your ability to create whatever life you want for yourself.

On your terms.

And still be an ever present and Rockstar mom.

Don't dismiss what your passions are

What comes really easy to you?

What is it that you dreamed about as a child or that you have always thought about over and over?

You have special gifts that you, and only you, can give this world.

There are people waiting for you to share that gift.

Now you are probably thinking.

No, not my gift. Or I don’t have a gift.

I promise you do.

In fact, you have a very special and unique gift, that no other person in the world has.

It is your responsibility to share that gift with the world.

It is your responsibility to fill your cup from within so you can be the best mom, wife, friend, daughter, to others.

It all starts with you.

You deserve it.

You are worthy of it.

And you have everything it takes and everything you need to bring it to fruition.

All you have to do is take the first step.
